Individual floor design for unlimited creativity

nora 4you offers countless possibilities for customised interior design

Weinheim, July 2019 – Whether the project involves special colours, creative inlay solutions or combined plank and tile formats, the new nora 4you offering provides a clear bundled overview of all customer-specific solutions offered by the leading specialist in high-quality rubber floor coverings. Whenever unusual projects are involved that require individualisation, nora systems is the ideal flooring partner. This is because the Weinheim-based rubber specialist offers countless possibilities to give interiors that certain something or to support customers in positioning their company as a brand. For example, a unique spatial impression can be created by using individually produced colours or large floor inlays. Tiles and planks in various formats are another design option, creating a modern, inspiring ambience with an unmistakable character. Sophisticated routing systems or directional symbols can also be designed with the aid of the latest inlay technology.

Using flooring inlays to create a unique space

“Thanks to nora systems’ inlay technology, there are no limits to the imagination because it opens up a multitude of design possibilities”, explained Dirk Oswald, Head of Product Management for nora product lines. The experts in the nora inlay centre produce complex motifs, lettering or logos with maximum precision on state-of-the-art ultrasonic cutting machines. “Even entire rooms can be designed as a single large inlay. These so-called room inlays visually enhance the floor and help to give rooms an unmistakable identity”, Oswald added.

Individual routing systems and symbols keep people on the right track

Routing systems help to lead people safely through a facility. Whether used for orientation along extensive or complex hospital corridors, for zoning areas or to indicate escape routes, it is crucial that routing systems are permanently seen and universally understood by everyone. The inlay technology used by nora makes it possible to adapt routing systems to individual spatial conditions. “For example, contrasting coloured stripes or symbols integrated into the floor covering help to mark walkways through buildings or individual wards in hospitals”, Oswald explained. There are even suitable solutions available for use in the dark, where built-in light strips or lighting elements in the floor covering or in the skirting boards ensure safety. As well as comprehensive routing systems, nora offers a wide range of standardised symbol templates that can be adapted to customer-specific requirements and integrated directly into the nora floor covering.

Modern planking concept allows greater design freedom

Also part of nora 4you is the company’s extended plank and tile concept. The nora range comprises planks and tiles in a wide variety of formats that can be freely combined with one another. The noraplan product line offers a choice of six different sizes while the norament tiles are available in two sizes. The specific installation patterns have a decisive influence on the ambience, giving the room a unique face.

Special colours create individual accents

In addition to the company’s standard flooring range with over 300 colour tones in various shades, nora is also happy to create special colours for a project from colour samples or colour codes. The desired colour tones can be produced on the basis of all common colour-coding systems such as NCS, RAL or Pantone. Regardless of which design line the customer chooses, nora systems has the right solution for the desired colour concept. *
