Weinheim, April 25, 2022 – Interface®, a worldwide commercial flooring company and global leader in sustainability, today unveils its latest nora® by Interface rubber flooring product with norament 926 pado. The new product is reminiscent of traditional terrazzo, offering a classic design in modern high-quality rubber flooring. norament 926 pado’s mosaic-like granules are skillfully incorporated, giving rooms a magnificent and elegant atmosphere.
Known for adorning the floors of old villas and administrative buildings, terrazzo’s eye-catching patterning and design continues to gain traction in modern interior environments. norament 926 pado encapsulates this trend, adding classical elegance to any space while delivering long-lasting durability. It features a slightly structured two-tone surface characterized by distinctive design of granules embedded into the product.
“With this new rubber design, we are providing an on-trend modern flooring option with terrazzo influences that create a uniquevisual depth and natural appearance,” said Dirk Oswald, Head of nora Brand and Product Management. "The characteristic granulate scattering is the heart of this design. In selected colours, we also embed recycled chips from our nora production, as we look to use our high-quality cast-off rubber to reduce waste in our manufacturing and support our sustainability objectives. Finally, we add single-colour granules, providing a uniform clarity in appearance.”
Like all nora flooring solutions, the dense surface of norament 926 pado provides ease of maintenance and long-lasting durability while maintaining its aesthetic, even after many years of use. This makes it the ideal solution for entrance halls, exhibitions and public spaces. Due to its permanent elasticity, there is less impact sound with norament products than with hard floors, which noticeably improves acoustics.
As part of Interface’s modular flooring system, architects, designers and other specifiers can easily and efficiently pair norament 926 pado with Interface carpet tile and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) to create high-performing, beautiful spaces.
norament 926 pado, like all of the flooring product Interface sells –carpet, LVT, and nora rubber flooring –are carbon neutral across their full product lifecycle through the third-party verified Carbon Neutral Floors™program.
