You are at the center of everything that we do. At nora, we are committed to sharing our humanitarian spirit with those around us in the communities in which we work and live. Stewardship is of great importance to us, as we promote an atmosphere that encourages social volunteerism and environmental sensibility. As a company, and as individuals, nora and its employees take pride in having opportunities to share their time and efforts to support local organizations and programs.
We think and act globally, keeping the environmental and social relevance of our decisions in perspective. The culture that our employees experience is one of social and environmental accountability that encourages them to take a leadership position within the community. Internally we keep our organizational community connected through our me@nora program. This platform is used for eLearning, and setting individual development between management and their teams.
To achieve our goals regarding occupational health, safety and environment as well as legal compliance and audit management, nora has implemented a state-of-the-art management process. Supported by the EcoWebDesk platform, responsibilities, processes and actions are very clear and transparent for all involved stakeholders.
As a German-based manufacturer, we are a member of the wdk (Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie e. V.). This umbrella organization of the German rubber industry set up a compliance code as well as a Sustainability Charter. All members are committed to follow and support the rules regarding ethical guidelines, the European Sustainable Development Strategy, ILO core labor standards, and principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
We continue to develop our social responsibility programs and initiatives to positively influence and support those around us.
