U.S. Green Building Council Member

Committed to developing environmentally friendly and safe rubber flooring.

As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and its natural resources, nora® rubber flooring joined The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2002. The USGBC is the United States' foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Together, they have developed the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System—a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.

Achieving LEED Criteria

Many of the environmental features that make rubber flooring an attractive choice for environmentally-conscious architects, designers and facility managers also contribute to the achievement of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) points.

The use of nora rubber flooring can contribute to the achievement of up to nine points (LEED version 2.2) in the following LEED categories: indoor environmental quality (low-emitting materials) and materials and resources (construction waste management, recycled content, rapidly renewable materials, and materials reuse).

All standard nora products and adhesives are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified, California 01350 compliant on the CHPS Low Emitting Materials list, and can contribute to the achievement of LEED credits. In addition, nora adhesives meet the South Coast (CA) Air Quality Management District 1168 Rule 51.
