nora® rubber floorcovering for redetachable installation jobs with a fixing system

Flexible room design made easy

Today the offices accommodate the purchasing people, tomorrow they'll be joined by the sales team, and next week the marketing department will be moving in. Moves don't in fact come along quite that rapidly even in our fast-paced era, but at many companies continual change is the order of the day. Every relocation necessitates revamping the premises involved. And today's networked job environment, of course, poses additional challenges for room design. Telephone and data lines, for instance, together with power cables, are frequently routed underneath raised-access floors. The norament® grano FS flooring from Freudenberg Bausysteme KG in Weinheim, Germany, is the right choice for raised-access floor elements without an applied flooring and for areas with time-limited utilization.

Since they're installed using a fixing system, norament® grano FS tiles can be detached again without any problems, and then re-installed following modification work or cable-laying jobs - again and again, if necessary.

The flooring's utilitarian benefits go hand in hand with an attractive design and high wear-resistance, as demonstrated by two examples from Italy: during renovation work, the Milan branch of the nationwide Banco di Desio replaced the existing carpet tiles by norament® grano FS tiles. This granule-effect flooring with its hammerblow surface fits harmoniously into the bank's overall corporate design. The scattered granules not only create an interesting look, but also help to conceal soiling.

Further crucial arguments behind the client's decision were that the flooring does not have to be coated, and thanks to its dense surface is easy to clean. This means that stains from coffee, Coca-Cola, nicotine or even chewing-gum can usually be removed quite simply.

Approximately 800 square meters of norament® grano FS have also been installed at the headquarters of Transfima - the joint venture owned by Fiat and Matra operates the underground in Turin/Italy. For this prestigious job, the architects of the new building insisted on particularly stringent standards of design aesthetics and qualitative excellence. norament® grano FS in a gray basic hue with green and slate-colored scattered granules, moreover, scored in terms of a jointless surface look - despite the "flexible" installation! The flooring's high wear-resistance ensures that it's not affected by chair castors and high levels of pedestrian traffic. In comparison to textile floorings, no trodden-out tracks are formed even after years of intensive use.

The excellent footfall sound absorption values of norament grano FS, together with its permanently resilient properties, mean high walking comfort. So the flooring not only looks good, it's good to walk on as well! Acoustic studies conducted by consulting engineers have shown that in offices with appropriate noise-proofing features the differences in sound absorption between textile floorings and rubber floorings are quite insignificant.

The extremely dense surface of norament® grano FS also contributes towards a healthy workplace microclimate in regard to dissemination of allergenic germs. Mites cannot find nesting-places, and pollen, dust and other allergy-triggering substances are easily removed by standard cleaning procedures.

Like all rubber floorcoverings from Freudenberg Bausysteme KG norament® grano FS excels in terms of eco-friendliness: it's made from top-quality rubber, minerals from natural deposits, and eco-compatible pigments. The flooring does not contain any PVC, plasticizers or halogens.
