mobilcom shops are being fitted with rubber floorings
mobilcom opts for nora

In the rapidly evolving world of mobile telephony, what customers primarily want is this: knowledgeable, comprehensible and objective advice. The approximately 250 mobilcom shops offer precisely that - in an ambience that meets the wish for customer-friendly clarity. Stylish glass and acrylic-glass showcases display the various models of mobile phones and the extensive range of accessories. A spaciously conceived layout for even the smaller shops makes it easy for the customers to find what they're looking for. For six months now, it's been marrying clarity to functionalism: the norament metro rubber flooring.

Premiered early this year by the world's market leader for rubber floorings, Freudenberg Bausysteme, norament metro is making a rather impressive debut in the approximately 250 mobilcom shops. With its coarse-pored structure, unfussy and solid as concrete slabs, the new flooring combines functionalism and modernity in terms of interior design. "Discreet and nonetheless characterful, that's what we liked", explains Martin Herrmann, who's responsible for store construction at mobilcom. "Anthracite was our preferred colour, in conjunction with the light, upmarket room decor and our red company logo. The metro hue is precisely right for the purpose."

Another crucial factor in opting for norament metro was its synthesis of attractive design and functionality. The client wanted a flooring that would long retain its distinctive appearance even when subjected to heavy traffic from the public. In addition, as resilient surfaces, rubber floorings ease the strain on the sales staff's joints and backs, and render the customer's stay inside the shop more comfortable.

The primary goal when redesigning a store concept is to render the brand concerned visually perceptual, to put an architectural face on it. In order to achieve this, the facelift work has to be performed simultaneously at numerous locations, and needs to be done quickly. Each working day when the store is closed for modifications means lost revenue for the company. So Klaus Müller from the design and planning office in Ludwigsburg, who's in charge of revamping the approximately 250 mobilcom shops, is particularly happy about how simple the square-meter metro tiles are to install: "They could hardly be simpler to handle. Installation has gone like clockwork so far."
