With this new dry nora® Profix adhesive tape, it is possible to install nora® cushioned edges and skirtings 3 to 5 times faster than previously. The reel-fed dry adhesive saves installation companies the laborious task of marking the wall, for example. The special Siga reel plate supplied with each pack ensures that the installation tape is applied to the wall fast and with consistent accuracy at the correct distance from the floor. After that, all that is needed to be done is briefly rub the adhesive tape into place against the subfloor, and the skirting can be fixed without any further steps required.
With this dry adhesive, waiting until the adhesive applied has completely dried and aired, which used to be necessary for conventional installation using contact adhesives with a solvent content, is now a thing of the past. The adhesive power sets in immediately. The adhesive installation tape consists of a thread-reinforced contact adhesive film without any solvents, any high-boiling substances, formaldehyde, chlorine and plasticizers (VOC), making it a highly eco-compatible option.
And this also offers health advantages: since the dry adhesive does without solvents, it is odorless. Nor does it cause any skin irritations since it has no toxicity classification.
The nora® Profix adhesive tapes can be used on subfloors made of plaster, wood, stone, primed screed, metal and other firm subfloors. They are suitable both for installation in new buildings and for refurbishing old ones. As with any other floor installation job, application is conditional on the subfloors concerned being even, dustfree and permanently dry.
Nora Profix adhesive tapes possess very good anti-aging properties since the Siga acrylic adhesive they contain can neither become brittle nor dry out.
