Subfloor preparation
Recommendation table for professional installation (levelling compound, primer, adhesive)
- The following recommendations are governed by the technical regulations of the DIN 18 365 standard. Specific standards and technical regulations of each country have to be observed. The present recommendations compile the technical expertise, guidelines and experience of the respective manufacturers of levelling compounds and adhesives for our floorcoverings. These recommendations are not binding and are subject to the reservation that they are expressly confirmed in writing by the manufacturers of the products listed here for each project involved.
- The manufacturers' installation guidelines, our installation instructions and possibly the information contained in the regulations on hazardous substances must be adhered to when handling adhesives and process materials, while fitting our floorcoverings.
- Neither the manufacturer/supplier of the adhesives and process materials nor the manufacturer/supplier of the floorcovering can influence a technically appropriate fitting or the compliance with the DIN 18 365 standard. Consequently, no warranty can be granted for the result of the fitting operations.
- Responsibility for the adequate condition of adhesives, process materials and floorcoverings is assumed by each manufacturer respectively involved. As far as the warranty is concerned, please also refer to the contractual agreements concluded with the supplier in addition to the General Terms of Delivery and Payment.
- The serrations recommended by the adhesive manufacturers are intended for standard subfloors. Particular surfaces may require different serrations. Please comply with the manufacturers' recommendations and/or contact them.
