Footfall/ Acoustics
Acoustics in rooms is specifically influenced by two factors:
- Footfall sound absorptionnora
rubber floorcoverings have a footfall sound absorption improvement of up to 20 dB and arethus equal to many textile floorcoverings. - Sound absorption and reverberation times
To achieve good room acoustics, the reverberation time should be within a certain band width (see diagram).
For nora rubber floorcoverings and textile floorcoverings, the reverberation times in a room equipped with acoustic ceiling are comparable in the relevant frequency range and, among other things, comply with the recommendations of DIN 18 041 (an expert opinion is available – see also diagram).
