Footfall/ Acoustics

Acoustics in rooms is specifically influenced by two factors:

  1. Footfall sound absorptionnora
rubber floorcoverings have a footfall sound absorption improvement of up to 20 dB and arethus equal to many textile floorcoverings.
  2. Sound absorption and reverberation times
To achieve good room acoustics, the reverberation time should be within a certain band width (see diagram).

For nora rubber floorcoverings and textile floorcoverings, the reverberation times in a room equipped with acoustic ceiling are comparable in the relevant frequency range and, among other things, comply with the recommendations of DIN 18 041 (an expert opinion is available – see also diagram).
