nora® rubber floorcoverings do not contain any plasticizers, so plasticizer migration is an impossibility.
This means the floorings are dimensionally stable, and will not shrink once they have been fixed.
Joint-sealing is accordingly not required. This cuts the installation costs and ensures a harmonious overall
look without clearly visible joints which are often more susceptible to soiling.
Only noraplan® acoustic floorings, due to their high elasticity, have to be joint-sealed with nora® hot welding rod.
Joint-sealing is also recommended when moisture-sensitive subfloors are involved, in rooms with
continual intensive wet cleaning, or in areas with stringent hygiene requirements, or other specialized utilization
categories.
