The subsurface

The subsurface must be dry. A commercially available primer is to be applied in case of a porous, sanding or dusty subsurface. An uneven or excessively rough subsurface of the wall is to be levelled out using a commercially available filler or levelling compound, and smoothed or sanded.

When bonding using SIFLOOR Goman 50/nora® Profix 50, the structural height of the wall may not exceed 1mm; level out or sand as necessary.

The recommendations of the manufacturers of primers, fillers, and adhesives are to be observed.

The subsurface temperature must be at least 15°C during the installation and setting of the adhesive.

Installation and bonding

Contact adhesive:

Before the application of any adhesive, the profile width is marked on the wall.

1. The adhesive is applied liberally with a brush on the subsurface and the back of the profile. (The back of the profile must not be sanded.)

The airing time depends on the air temperature and the humidity and can be checked by finger test. The adhesive must still be sticky without leaving threads.

The adhesive film dries quicker on rubber profiles than on PVC profiles.

The profile is thoroughly pressed on after positioning and tapped on with a rubber mallet.

2. SIFLOOR Goman 50/nora® Profix50

In order to achieve a good bonding, the profile back must be cleaned thoroughly with a humid cloth (thinner). The profile is thoroughly pressed on immediately after positioning and tapped on with a rubber mallet.
